The nature of our Saviour

The Jews answered and said to Him, "Do we not say rightly that You are a Samaritan and have a demon?"
Jesus answered, "I do not have a demon; but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me." John 8:48

The Pharisees called the Lord a samaritan. Calling someone a samaritan at that time was the most disrespectful curse word
because it meant that his mother brought him to life in a sinful way, through a samaritan.

This chapter is one of the chapters in the bible that shows the Lord Jesus's sensitivity to each and every single person.
Christ did not say, i am not a samaritan.. but only.. I do not have a demon.
The Lord Jesus did not want to hurt any samaritan's that were around and make them feel like they were lowly.
Christ did not want to discriminate against the samaritans or make it look like it is shameful to be a samaritan.
The Lord is so sensitive, even when he is cursed and dispised.

Another example of Christ's sensitivity was when he asked the Samaritan woman.. where her husband was.
Christ clearly knew that she had 5 and none of the were her husbands.
Yet Jesus was way too sensitive to make her feel ashamed, that she felt comfortable enough to say it with her own mouth.
The Samaritan women saw that Christ's tenderness and sensitivity was like no other,
and she told him the whole truth about her sinful past.

"Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls.
