The Prayer Of Thanksgiving

Let us give thanks to the MAKER of all good things, the merciful God, the Father of Our Lord, God and Saviour Jesus Christ, for He has sheltered us, helped us, preserved us, received us, defended us, had compassion upon us and brought us to this hour. We also ask Him, the Lord Our God the Pantocrator (the almighty and omnipotent ruler), to preserve us in this holy day and all the days of our life, in perfect peace.
O Master and Lord, God the Pantocrator, the Father of Our Lord, God and Saviour Jesus Christ, we thank you in any event, for every event and in all events; for you have helped us, preserved us, received us, had compassion upon us, defended us and brought us to this hour.

Wherefore, we ask and entreat your goodness O lover of mankind, grant us to pass this holy day and all the days of our life in perfect peace in the fear of your name. All envy, all temptation, all the work of Satan, the plots of wicked people and the rise of enemies against us whether in secret or openly, Lord keep away from us; and from the rest of your people and from this holy place which is yours. For you are He who gave us the authority to trample on the serpents, the scorpions and all the power of the enemy.

Lead us not into temptation, O Lord, but deliver us from the evil one through the grace and compassion and love of mankind of your only begotten Son, Our Lord, God and Saviour Jesus Christ who is due all glory, honour, dominion and worship with you and with the Holy Spirit, the life giving and consubstantial, now and forever and from all ages to all ages. Amen.
